The next Sheriff's Foreclosure Sale will be on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 10:00 am. The next Monition Sale is Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 at 10:00 am.

Functions
The function of the Sheriff's Office is to service the Citizens of Kent County by performing many functions for the State of Delaware Courts (Superior Court, Court of Common Pleas, U.S. District Court and the Court of Chancery). The Sheriff's Office serves legal notices to include (subpoenas, levies, summons, etc.) Additionally, the Sheriff's Office auctions real estate in accordance with the Delaware Code.
Sheriff Sales Notice
*Effective July 15, 2021, All Sheriff Sales (Foreclosure Sales and Monition Sales) will resume being held at the Kent County Administration Building; Levy Court Chambers, 555 Bay Road, Dover, DE 1990
**In the event that a scheduled Sheriff Sale is canceled due to inclement weather, sales of the scheduled properties will be moved to the following month.
The Commission rate for Sheriff Sales is 4% with a minimum cap of $500 and a maximum cap of $10,000.
ALL CHECKS MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO: KENT COUNTY SHERIFF
Please note that the status of a property listed for sale could change up to the day of the scheduled sale date. The Kent County Sheriff's sales list is updated three times daily. The Sheriff Sale Listings will be updated at 9:30 am on the day of sale. Please be sure to check the Listing for the most current status on pending property sales.
