Emergency Medical Services Division
Responsible for delivery of advanced life support services to residents and visitors to the County. Ensures high quality emergency medical care through quality assurance reviews, continual in-service training and updates, and public education. Also assists volunteer ambulance companies to provide a total medical system.

All Terrain Medical Response Team

The Bike Unit remains active in its second full year of service. The specially trained "bike medics" continue to serve the Kent County Community at special events, and events where crowd access poses a problem.

Hazmat Team
Kent County EMS began to develop its role as support agency to
Hazmat Responders early in 1997 with the initation of the KCEMS Hazmat Medic Team.

Emergency Communications Division

The Kent County Department of Public Safety Emergency Communication Division is the true first responder to all emergencies. Our mission is to act as a vital and critical link between our Public Safety agencies and the citizens they protect and serve. We strive to ensure the preservation of life and property by treating all who use our services with professionalism, courtesty, and compassion and by relaying accurate information in a timely and efficient manner.

Emergency Management Division
The Emergency Planning & Operations staff is on call 24 hours a day for response to any emergency or disaster that may occur.
