The Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)

The Metropolitan Planning Organization is funded through the federal government. The Delaware Department of Transportation is the primary agency within the Metropolitan Planning Organization. The Public Advisory Committee was established through the Metropolitan Planning Organization after the 1990 Census declared Dover an urbanized area. The Committee reviews transportation projects and applies for federal transportation funding.

The Committee consists of the Council, the Technical Advisory Committee and the Public Advisory Committee. Meetings are held monthly.
